Clinician

POSITION:                CLINICIAN/Full Time – 1 or 2 evenings per week M - F

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are pleased to announce an opening for a full time Clinician in our 728 Outpatient/Day Rehabilitation program. Responsibilities include completing intake assessments, conducting individual and group counseling sessions, treatment and discharge planning, coordination of referrals and actively participating in treatment team meetings. All current employees of New Choices Recovery Center who possess a LMSW, LMHC or CASAC may apply. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.

Residential Counselor

New Choices Recovery Center, a comprehensive substance use disorder treatment program in Schenectady, has Residential Counselor position part-time and per diem available in our Men’s Community Residential program. The Residential Counselor is responsible to support and monitor residents, provide care coordination, medication oversight, individual/group counseling, and record keeping. The shifts and days of the week vary. Applicants with a CASAC or CASAC-T or an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Valid driver’s license preferred. Experience working as a Counselor in a residential program or other human services related work preferred.  Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences required.
